"Kaila is a great violin teacher. She is well versed in the latest pedagogy and can always think of a useful and effective exercise to address the specific technical problem you are facing at the moment. I grew up playing violin but ended up putting it aside after my daughter was born. Now that she’s 15, I have more time and so I decided to go back. Having learned to play decades ago, I was afraid it might be difficult for me to switch to new techniques. But Kaila’s instructions made it so easy and fun to practice that the hardest part was to not overdo it. It has already been a while since I picked up violin again, but Kaila continues to give me at least one eye-opening instruction every lesson.

With children, Kaila is very supportive and encouraging. My daughter has been studying with her for almost ten years, but I have never seen Kaila say anything judgmental to her, even when she hadn’t touched the violin since the previous lesson. I highly recommend Kaila for both adult and young students!"
